At the CES in Las Vegas, Nokia is presenting a WLAN-enabled mat with sensors that are placed under the mattress. So we should sleep better.

With the acquisition of the French company Withings Nokia has fully entered the health market. And markets the products again under its own, still very well-known brand name.

At the world's largest CES show in Las Vegas (USA), the Finns have now introduced Nokia Sleep. This is a mat that you put under the mattress. With its sensors and connected to the WLAN and an app, the tracker can analyze very different things.

First of all, the sleep cycle is measured accurately. So not only the duration but also interruptions and light or deep sleep phases and the important REM sleep. This can also be many smartwatches or fitness bracelets. But Nokia Sleep can do much more.

Sleep Also Measures How Much Man Snores

For example, record snores or control the Smarthome via an IFTTT standard interface. So turn on the radio or the light if you wake up slowly in the right amount of time. When falling asleep, for example, the temperature could be turned down.

Nokia Sleep connects to a free app. There you can see all health data and get your own sleep rated. On request, there are also tips on how to recover better. Or an eight-week coaching program (Smarter Sleeping).

Nokia Sleep will be launched in the first quarter of 2018 and will cost around $122.
