CES 2018] The Facebook Oculus Go will be manufactured by Xiaomi

Oculus said during CES 2018 that the Chinese company Xiaomi would be its hardware partner for the manufacture of the Oculus Go. The two companies jointly announced the Mi VR Standalone, a virtual reality headset based on the Oculus Go but exclusively for to the Chinese market.

The Mi VR Standalone is programmable using the Oculus Mobile SDK (software development kit), which will facilitate the migration of the content to the Mi VR store. Both headsets will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 Mobile VR platform.
